November update!

Can you believe today is the last day of November. Wow, where has the time gone? Hope every one's Thanksgiving was a great and everyone could reflected on why we are so thankful and blessed this time of year. Our day was terrific, Andy fried 2 turkeys and I fixed the sides, all turned out so good and tasty. Of course leftovers are always the best! The boys had a great time playing with their friends and the night was ever so prefect for chasing each other in the dark with flashlights... Clayton lost his first tooth on the 21st, so the tooth fairy made her approach at the Peay household. Clayton was full of questions as to how does she get in, and what does she do with all the teeth? He was even more excited to get $3 for it... Caden has had many lumps this month, he is one tough boy. He is doing his best to keep up with brother and unfortunately it has cost him some head injures. All in all he is well, his new nickname is Lumpy or Knot Head. So in a recap, I have a child who is getting teeth, one losing teeth and one I pray will keep all his teeth until age 5 or 6. Clayton had his school program on the 18th, he was an Indian. Pilgrim he said are boring, therefore we were an Indian. He had to come up with a "Indian name", position in the tribe and in general a little narrative. He did a great job presenting his presentation in front of 30 adults and 14 kiddos. The best part is when he volunteered to say the blessing for the entire group. Our hearts just grew tenfold, how proud we were of him. Katie is up and going, she so much wants to walk. She stands and cruises the furniture, and will stand alone. That first step is not quite there yet. We love to put on music and watch her dance. She is truly our little dancer. We got our family portrait pictures back and boy they are fabulous. Our photographer does such a wonderful job capturing the image of the kids and their personalities. What a blessing to have those little moments of time captured in a bottle of sorts. On the 9th, Andy and I ran our first 5K run, so it was 3.2 miles. It was great to be out and enjoy the morning running, I think that's my new favorite sport. We had fun and plan to do it again. enjoy all the moment of the upcoming holiday season. We will be busy rounding off the semester and getting ready for our ski trip at the end of the month. Look in your mailboxes within the next few weeks, I will send out our yearly Peay christmas card. It has some great pictures in it, and you are assured a good laugh our two. Enjoy the Christmas season...love to all

November

Holy cow, its already November. We went trick or treating this Friday at the elementary school. Boy the kids racked up, lots of goodies. It was fun, the school had a carnival and lots of locals came up and opened up their car trunks for Trunk or Treating. I say there was probably around 30 participants. The bags were full by the time we finished. plenty of sticky fingers, Andy's especially. Katie got to enjoy, she got a sucker and she didn't let up. Her little face was incredibly sticky, along with her hands and just about everywhere else. She loved it. Saturday was our big family portrait day, our photographer was great. She had to cancel the week before due to illness, so this week we got an extra hour and free session. I will be counting down the days until the CD arrives... Andy and I got a sitter to watch the kids on Saturday night, can you believe it was our 13 year of 'dating'. Our very first date was Nov. 3, 1995. We went to a new Mexican food restaurant and then just poked around some shops. The area we like to go is already getting ready for the Holidays and all the trees are lite up, its so romantic. If you can believe this Andy and I are getting ready to run a 5K this Sunday (nov.9). I think we can tackle the 3 miles. I have been training on Mondays and Thursdays so I feel ready, I don't know about my hubby. Tonight is our last baseball night, the kids are all meeting for a pizza party. Its our finale until Spring, Clayton is excited he gets his trophy. And Clayton has big news, a new milestone, he has his first loose tooth... He keeps asking why does the tooth fairy take my tooth and what does she do will all the teeth? Just because, isn't a good answer I can see we now have to get creative. There is never a dull moment with our 3 year old. Today, he managed to get 8 inch of duct tape in his hair, from the crown all the way to the nape of his neck. There were tears and scissors involved with this one. All turned out OK, and the moral don't put tape in your hair...Many hugs, until next time.

Show Stopper!

We have had quite a few funny moments this week. Caden our sweet 3 year old decided to pee in the right field during Clayton's T-ball game. Well at least his back was turned, however field number 5 (the one directly in front of him) got the full view. I guess it truly is a blessing they keep the little kids toward the back of the ball park. Clayton decided that his hair cut wasn't up to pare and did a little snip job of his own. He did it at school, right before his school pictures. It will be a photo that will not be forgotten and posted as soon as we get them. And Katie, well she is learning to get her licks in while she can. If the boys are in grabbing range, she's got you. She doesn't care if it's a shirt or hair, she is holding on. Life is never a dull moment around here ! We took the kids to the pumpkin patch last Friday, they had a blast putting pumpkins in the wagon and rolling them. Katie had fun tasting them, she has started teething again. I think her top teeth are coming in and she is kind of cranky. Last night we had a fall carnival at church. The kids got to play games and eat hot dogs, all around good fun. This halloween they are going as Tom & Jerry and of course baby nibbles. They look so cute in their cat and mouse costume. This week is our last week of fall ball, the boys have had a blast playing. It will be different having my Saturdays back. It truly feels like Fall this year, the temperatures have been much cooler than normal, truly getting you into the holiday mood. Until I write again, happy fall ya'll !!!

October

Katie has taken to the fast lane, she is moving. Up on all fours and crawling all through the house. Of course this has not impressed her brothers. They have taken all the toys to the high ground (upstairs). This of course has motivated Katie to use the stairs. The gates are going up this weekend. T-ball is going well and Clayton still loves it. He played pitcher and 3rd base this past week. He loved getting almost every ball and throwing to first. It was my turn this week to be dug out mom. I had to organize the batting order, get helments in order, get the 5 year olds in line for bat, then send them out. And of course then it started over in getting gloves, and hats then out to the field to their positions. Which of course they don't know, the coaches then directed them to their posts. Too much fun, they are so cute in the field picking flowers and chasing bugs, ours makes dirt angels when he is outfield. Caden can't wait to be on the field, he tries to sneak in when we aren't looking. He thinks that dirt is the best for his trucks. For anyone who wonders what Cadens expression this week is, it is " what you talking about." Example, "Caden can you pick up your toys", " What you talking about, Mommy."... We have a birthday today, Andy turns 41. I haven't let him get out of his chair and he has control of the remote all day. The kids and I have made a cake that doesn't look like the picture its suppose to be, but the important thing is that it tastes great! The boys think he needs ALL of his candles on it, I think we will start a fire. I finished the blog on Sunday, October 5, I started the 3rd...Not too much going on this week, Andy has to work late Monday and Tuesday. Our next game is Thursday. Until then we are sending our love....

Go EXPRESS !!!

We have kicked off T-ball season. Our first game was great, the kids were so cute. Clayton did a good job his first go around. I have to say he hussled for every ball whether it was a dink or a long base drive, he was EVERYWHERE. In other words, not only did he cover his base, he covered everyones base. During the next inning he just sat in the outfield, he told his Daddy his energy was low... Caden did great, he found some buddies and they played cars in the dirt mound. He has been our Mr. Fix-it lately, only his new expression is " I lost it". Can you imagine the craziness it is causing for Andy and his tools. As in "Caden where did you put my hammer"," I lost it.".. I do think he is more grey this week! Miss Katie got her second tooth in this week, so she has finally slept well and has stopped drooling. For now its a pause until the next go around. Just a normal week this week nothing fancy. My Mary Kay is busy, everyone is in the mood for reorders and get togethers. I think people are getting ready for the holidays, which is great. My calendar is getting full, and I am half way there to my Pontiac G6. I rode in one on Monday night going to my meeting and it was so nice. Can't Wait ,G6 first then onto my cadillac !!!

Play Ball !!!

We have offically started T-Ball. Clayton had a blast playing. He was so cute trying to throw, catch and hit the ball. Saturday is our first game and I'm sure it will be great. We have had some set backs this week, Clayton got Pneumonia. I caught it quite by accident, on Tuesday he started this deep cough and I took him into the doctor with us. Katie's well check was the whole reason to go anyway. Our Dr. checked him out and said it was the start of, so we got some good antibiotics and some meds for our inhaler. However, the inhaler meds gave him some bad side effects that we are dealing with. Poor guy, its so hard when they are not feeling well.... Miss Katie's check up went well, she is 2 months ahead of schedule with her development. Overachiever !!! Currently she is 28 inches in length and she weighs 18 lbs, 5 ounces. She also decided to pull herself up to standing. WOW she is growing so fast. The second tooth has yet to arrive, but we are still drooling. Caden is doing well, he liked going to T-Ball with us, he loves playing on the playscape while brother and daddy practice. His favorite expression right now is, " it was an accident." needless to say we have had quite a few. I do believe Daddy will be going bald soon...The weather has been just perfect here, cool in the mornings and low 80's in the afternoon. We have spent many hours soaking it up. Next week I should have pictures of the game loaded up. Until then, our love to all.

September events

School has started for Clayton, he is officially a Kindergartner. He loves all, but music, its too loud he says. PE is still the favorite. I am not too crazy about the white uniform shirt, that has yet to come home the color it left in. It actually has more color to it in the afternoon. Thats how I know he had a fun day. Caden is adjusting to the days without Clayton at home, I love how he gathers up all of Clayton's toys and plays uninterrupted for hours. By lunch he is ready to go get Clayton. Miss Katie is army crawling all over the house and starting to bug her brothers with her new curiosity of things. She has her first tooth. The second one is not too far away, she is really drooling. This weekend we are setting up her room, she is officially out of the bassinet. We decided that when we caught her sitting up in it. She is getting more hair, I think I saw a few strand come over her ears. We are suppose to have our first T-Ball practice this Saturday, but I'm afraid it will be a rain out. The boys will be upset, they can't use their gear. And let me tell you, we have GEAR. Pants, shoes, gloves, and balls complete the look. This has been an event far better than school to look forward too. Andy's been busy with work these last few days, he had some very late nights Monday and Tuesday. So he will be recovering this weekend. I have a big Mary Kay event for next week, so I am gathering up all my goods for the show. I have been invited to my high schools homecoming, they are doing some presentation to all the past cheerleaders. As long as they don't make me get into my uniform or perform gymnastic stunts, I'm all in.
