A list of Nonsense!

Sorry, I been absent for the past 2 weeks.  To say we have been busy is an understatement.  Here is glimpse as to what we have been up to...

1.  Baseball, baseball and more baseball!!!  When a player does an outstanding job, they get THE game ball.   Needless to say the game balls are piling up in this house, and yogurt planet is in no danger of closing....

2.  The hunt is on...I teach a zoology class on Friday's and in 2 weeks we are talking about amphibians.  Like any good mother I told my kids to go find me some.  And they made mud pies instead..
3. Bird's Nest Cookie Recipe- A lot of you wanted my recipe and here it is, so SUPER easy.

1 package of Chow Mein Noodles
1 package of Butterscotch morsels
1 bag of candy-I liked the Cadbury mini-eggs the best, but you could use jelly beans.

Melt the butterscotch in a microwavable bowl (2 minutes) and then add the chow mein noodles.  Stir until completely coated, then spoon out and shape onto wax paper.  We used our hands and the kids LOVED it, so messy and fun!  Lastly add your "eggs", you might have to use some melted butterscotch as the glue to help them stick.  I let them sit for 30 minutes and they were hard enough to move...Enjoy

4.   Pool Season has begun, but it was a bit chilly for my juice-box-junkies.  However, it didn't take them to get use to the water and dive in.

5.  On Palm Sunday our church puts on a picnic lunch and an Easter egg hunt.  Guess what Katie did the whole time?..Yep, she ate all the chocolate she could find!

6.  And this is what I feel like, after all the running around...

Seriously, can I have a nap now.......

Smokey

10 years ago we bought a house.  And with a house comes a yard.
With a yard comes grass...sort of, we in the hill country call it "native" grass.  Basically,  whatever grows in rocky soil is your "yard".  There are those that pay $$$$ for great yards, we are not those people.
We have children, who like to eat.  Maybe one day, I can only dream...
Anyway, to save money and be thrifty, my hubby bought a used push mower from this man for $40, and it ran (bonus).  Except for one small problem....
Can you guess...cough, cough, wheeezzz

No, the Peay's aren't burning, that's just their lawn mower..

Mosquito's what mosquito's, we fumigate

And now the wheel broke....This mower will be in this family for generations!
Hopefully, it will not take generations for this patch to be mowed or I may lose a child or 2.
